10 women get awards for contributions in outsourcing

Technology brings equity among all with online market place. At this moment the contribution of women in online market places is 58 per cent. The number is increasing day by day. The contribution of women in online market places is much than man. According researcher, a woman earns 22.43 pound per hour and a man earns 21.57pound per hour” ICT State Minster Zunaid Ahmed Palak said.

“In Bangladesh, women contribution in online work places is 9 per cent. This contribution helps us to achieve 3rd position in online market place. We hope the women contribution will be increased very soon,” ICT State Minister told that while he addressing as chief guest the celebration ceremony of women’s achievements in outsourcings organized by technology skill training organization the Creative IT in association with Bangladesh Hi-Tech park Authority at Sufia Kamal Auditorium at National Museum in the capital on Saturday.

Some 800 freelancers have completed their trainings under Skill Enhancement programme of Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority including 200 Women in special batch. More than 400 freelancers get jobs placements in local and international companies after completing the courses according organizers. Some 10 women are awarded in the programme according their performance with online market places.

“Online jobs are very secure and comfortable for a woman beside her family maintenance. Many women get inspirations from her hasband to contribute with online outsouching. Because, they can excericise their brain work with online from home” Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority Project Director Hosne Ara Begum told the meeting as special guest.

“Earning creates power for a woman. When she starts earning, she can manage her families as well as babies. A woman can contribute than a man because they can work better with thinking” Elance-oDesk Country Manager Saidur Mamun Khan said. ICT Secretary Shyam Sundar Sikder, Joint Secretary Kamal Uddin Ahmed, Creative IT Managing Director Munir Hossein told the event among others.
