Sep.13,2014: The Ministry of Haj launched a new service on Friday, enabling pilgrims booked under the low-cost Haj program to cancel their reservations electronically whenever they want.


The supervisors of the program can also cancel the violators of the conditions announced by the ministry on its website.


Hussein bin Nasser Al-Sharif, undersecretary at the Haj Ministry, said that the pilgrim who wants to cancel his booking has to visit the website, where cancellations can be done quickly and in an efficient way and new reservations made.


He added that the numbers approved by the ministry for the program in its first phase will be 6,000 pilgrims from among the citizens and residents.
Al-Sharif said that the registration of the second additional group will begin Sunday morning. The preparation of the second group of the program is estimated to be another 6,000 citizens and residents who meet the conditions, according to Al-Sharif.
He considered the second phase an additional opportunity for other citizens and residents who wish to perform Haj.
